The guy in this video named Pavel Sapozhnikov volunteered for a psychological experiment where he would live in 10th century conditions completely isolated from humanity with the exception of occasional checkups from a crew.

The experiment would only be called off if he got severely ill or had some other major threat to his life, such as a blood infection or a major injury which would make him unable to continue.

He was given a camera to make a video log as well as supplies, tools, and animals for the farm he was set on.

It’s an hour long video, but it’s interesting.
