You are being watched.
It’s not enough to just identify you — they also want to identify your emotional state. Are you afraid? Are you happy? Are you surprised? Are you confused?
Are you sweating?
Did you take a shower?
Smile for the camera.
Amazon’s controversial facial recognition technology, called Rekognition, has a new skill. It can now spot fear. The company says it recently launched updates to Rekognition’s facial analysis features, including improved age estimation and the addition of fear to its emotion detection.
“We have improved accuracy for emotion detection (for all 7 emotions: ‘Happy,’ ‘Sad,’ ‘Angry,’ ‘Surprised,’ ‘Disgusted,’ ‘Calm’ and ‘Confused’) and added a new emotion: ‘Fear,'” according to an update from Amazon on Monday. “Lastly, we have improved age range estimation accuracy; you also get narrower age ranges across most age groups.”
Amazon boasts that its Rekognition software can track and analyze hundreds of people in a photo using a database with tens of millions of faces. The ACLU has expressed concern about law enforcement’s use of the technology, saying it could be abused by governments to pose a “grave threat to communities, including people of color and immigrants, and to the trust and respect Amazon has worked to build.”
We were supposed to use science and technology to conquer the stars. Instead, we’re using them to turn kids gay and to help mentally ill people become a parody of the other sex.
There’s a track record of stuff we created hoping that it would serve us but that was instead turned against us.
Lots of cool things suddenly turn terrifying once you remember that the Jews are in charge here, farming us and taking over our creations.
How long until facial recognition suffers a similar fate and ends up being used to hunt down the people that created it?
“According to my programming, you’re a Nazi.”
This technology won’t be used to threaten people of color and immigrants — it will be used to threaten whites. Just like most things today.
How long until “according to this software, you’re feeling X” turns into “according to this software, you’re thinking X”?
The same way they teach and train AI to recognize people’s faces, they could feed the programs all the social media and digital footprint of criminals to try to identify similar patterns in the population before crimes are committed.
How long until “we need pictures of your face for our facial recognition program” turns into “we need access to your whole digital life and to have cameras watch you 24/7 for our crime prevention program”?
How long until body cameras become mandatory for everyone?
We have to figure out a way to get the Jews out of our countries before they turn everything that we’ve ever created against us.
