Paighton Houston.

You’d think that going home with two random jiggaboos for an interspecies threesome would carry no risks.

But apparently it actually does.

Friday will mark one week since a Trussville woman disappeared after leaving a Birmingham bar, and police say they are still trying to determine what happened to her and where she is now.

Paighton Laine Houston, 29, was last seen Friday, Dec. 20, at Tin Roof in the 2700 block of Seventh Avenue South. According to Birmingham police, she left the bar about 10:45 p.m. with two heavy-set black males. Sgt. Johnny Williams said it was reported that Houston left the location willingly with the two men.

“We’ve got to find her,’’ her mother, Charlaine Houston, said Thursday. “I just pray this nightmare will end.”

Friends on Facebook said that she didn’t know the men and that the last text message from her to a friend stated she didn’t know where she was, and she felt she might be in trouble. Her mother said that text is “very concerning” and family said she has not used her bank account since she disappeared and said her phone is going straight to voicemail.

Birmingham police Sgt. Johnny Williams said the investigation is ongoing. “We’re pretty much in the same place that we were when we first reported her missing,’’ he said. “We don’t have any other leads. We’ve exhausted the ones we’ve had to this point, but we’ll continue to investigate and try to develop new leads.”

Investigators, he said, are reviewing surveillance footage from that night but have not yet released any possible footage publicly. “Our investigators want to review that footage. They want to make sure they’ve exhausted all their leads by going through that footage and if they determine anything that will point them in a different direction, we’ll let you guys know,’’ he said.
