Eric Kindred and Louis Zicarelli.
Casually answering the door at night in an 80%+ black city is pretty foolhardy.
I know this guy is 78, so he grew up in a time when most people didn’t even need to lock their doors in the first place, but… that time is long gone. ;_;
A 78-year-old man was killed in his Birmingham home during a robbery, Birmingham police say.
Louis Zicarelli heard a knock on his door around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, August 29 and when he answered he was shot by 18-year-old Eric Kindred.
When officers arrived they said they found Zicarelli lying in the front room of the house. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Kindred was arrested when Vestavia Police spotted Zicarelli’s stolen vehicle.
He is charged with burglary, theft of property and capital murder.
