No one is safe from the negro menace. Their position doesn’t matter.
A second Tarboro man was charged Friday evening in the deaths of Leggett Mayor Gary Skelton and his wife in their Edgecombe County home.
Mitchell Brinson, 18, of Bradley Avenue, was charged with first-degree murder and was being held without bond in the Edgecombe County jail.
On Friday morning, authorities charged Keith Earl Williams, 25, of Daniel Street, with first-degree murder in the case. He also was being held without bond in the county jail.
Williams was released from prison on Aug. 28 after serving a little over a year for assault with a deadly weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon, according to state Department of Public Safety records. He previously had been convicted of larceny and assault on a child.
