A convicted drug dealer shot himself in the crotch while high on MDMA, then hid the loaded gun in his girlfriend’s purse, federal court papers say.
Anthony Hauser, 32, initially claimed he didn’t know who shot him, before confessing while being treated at a hospital.
“I was high on molly . . . sitting in the passenger seat. I thought I had the safety on. I adjusted my waistband, the gun was in my hand and it went off,” he told cops on May 12, according to a Bronx Criminal Court complaint.
Cops later saw the gun in Hauser’s girlfriend’s purse as she was making a witness statement.
