A video showing the moment a South African police officer carries out a brutal cavity search on a man they pulled over ‘because he was white’.
The shocking footage was captured by the man’s friend, who can be heard pleading with the officers not to ‘break his leg’.
The two men had been approached by the police at 3.30am on Tuesday, August 18, in Fourways, Johannesburg.
Incensed by what they believe is a racially motivated incident, they have since uploaded their story to YouTube, concealing their identities.
The man, speaking under the pseudonym Shane, describes how the police asked both of them to get out of the car.
But his friend, referred to only as Anton, was ‘a bit slow’.
This appears to have angered to officer, who pulls Anton out of the vehicle, while his colleague runs around to help him.
Shane follows him, but was then told, with a gun pointed at his head: ‘If you move, I will kill you.’
But he realised he needed to film what was happening, so carefully reached for his phone so he could have a record of the officers’ actions.
Already, they had allegedly ‘smashed’ Anton’s head twice on the floor, and hit him with the ‘backside’ of the gun.
The officer can clearly be heard warning Anton: ‘I am going to hit you with the firearm.’
Anton can be heard screaming for help, while Shane tells him in Afrikaans: ‘I can’t do anything to help you.’
Anton is then heard saying: ‘I can’t breathe.’

It is not unreasonable to question whether some federal law enforcement agency might be at the very least intercepting communications on sites like this to monitor politically subversive activity. It seems that you haven’t noticed that I don’t have any emotion invested in this exchange, so perhaps you have interpreted civility as “disinformation, dissension, and/or confusion.” However, civility is what distinguishes the more evolved human from her or his simian ancestor and distant primate cousins. I can imagine it would be confusing, as most, but not all, negroids have little impulse control and use volume and vehemence in lieu of substance and reason when disagreements arise. This doesn’t mean that negroids are completely incapable of being dignified. I also don’t agree with the religious views of many in the White Rights organization. Science and reason are why we can explain the differences between negroids and humans, and why diminishing our expectations of negroids is appropriate as social policy. Religion of any sort is mere superstition and magical thinking. I’m also opposed to homophobia, for the same reason. Zoology and anthropology have confirmed that adult sexual expression between same sex humans is not a condition seen in any negative diagnostic situation, and that homosexuality is ingrained. So you have a general article with no specifics. Look, what reason do you have to believe that there could be an African Silicon Valley, for example? Where is the African Google? Despite your slander, I am in fact an open minded individual, so challenge me with something real. The African telecom company you are referring to is MTN, a company based in Johannesburg and founded in 1994, the last year that South Africa had a functioning government (in April of that year, facing international pressure, the now fondly-remembered Apartheid system was ended).
