Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Westlake man Thursday in connection with the attempted murder and rape of a teen.

Deputies were called to a home at about 8:30 a.m. Thursday. They found a 15-year-old girl who said Patrick Brown pulled a knife on her, made her expose herself, and tried to rape her with the knife at her throat, a spokesman said. She told deputies he choked her, pinned her to the ground, and hit her in the back of the head with something, a spokesman said. She was able to get away, but had lacerations on her neck and hand, the spokesman said.
