Richland County deputies say the assault of an 85-year-old woman wasn’t the first sexual offense for a 36-year-old suspect.

Marquille Rondale Livingston was arrested after reportedly breaking into the home of an 85-year-old woman’s home on Valentine’s Day, then brutally beating and sexually assaulting her.

He was initially charged with first degree burglary, criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping and petit larceny.

In a press conference Thursday, Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott stated the suspect is facing additional charges for another sexual assault incident that occurred in December 2016 in northeast Columbia.
