The fight continues.

UPDATE:

Apparently 2 out of 3 of Cantwell’s charges have been dropped due to it being proven witnesses gave false testimony.

It’s appears to be the main witnesses who perjured themselves.

The remaining charge doesn’t even make any sense.

If the witnesses/complainants lied, why is he still being charged?

Pepper spray is legal in Virginia.

It’s not an “illegal tear gas.”

Original article follows

Christopher Cantwell is having his hearing today, and hopefully he’s finally going to get let out.

He has been in jail since a few days after the Unite the Right rally back in August. He was denied bond, even though he didn’t do anything.

CBS 19:

A man facing several charges in connection with the Aug. 11 torch rally that gathered on the University of Virginia Grounds appeared in court Thursday morning.

Christopher Cantwell is charged with three felonies related to the use of pepper spray.

Security is extremely tight for the preliminary hearing, and the courtroom has been packed with Cantwell’s supporters, including Jason Kessler and protesters.

His attorney presented two motions, asking to have the charges dropped.

One of the accusers testified Thursday morning that he had misidentified Cantwell in his original complaint, but said Cantwell did still use pepper spray against him.

Huh.

“Misidentified.”

They are apparently going through all of the video of the event in court right now.

Several of our guys are there as witnesses, including Eli Mosley and other attendants of the rally.

This catlady is reporting live from the event.

Mike Enoch is texting guys there and reporting some stuff.

Eric Striker is giving similar reports.

We’ll have updates when the decision as to whether or not to let him out of the cage comes down.
