How can we pretend to be a free country when we don’t even allow men who cut their own penises off to serve in our military?
Top Pentagon leaders met this week for the first time to begin dismantling the military’s ban on transgender troops, a senior Defense Department official told USA TODAY.
The committee of about 25 senior personnel officials from each service met Wednesday to discuss issues affecting the estimated 12,800 transgender troops who serve in silence because their condition disqualifies them under Pentagon medical regulations. Last month, Defense Secretary Ash Carter announced that the ban would be reviewed with the assumption that transgender troops would be able to serve openly in six months.
Issues regarding processing new service members who are transgender were a focus of the initial meeting, said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the details of the meeting were not authorized to be released publicly. Thus far, there has been no major opposition voiced to rescinding the ban.
Several other issues could present hurdles to lifting the ban, including the the cost of treatment for troops transitioning to another sex. A study issued last week estimated the cost at $5.6 million annually, assuming 188 troops sought treatment averaging about $29,000 per person. Housing and uniforms for transgender troops are also likely to be discussed.
In other news, ISIS and Russia will not be allowing trannies in their militaries.

I do think it’s amusing that these people honestly believe that it is not the character of the person in the uniform that makes the fight winnable rather than the training.
They literally believe that they can win every engagement and fight with drones and an off hand’s approach. I’ve encountered numerous persons that actually believe that boots on the ground is not the way to fight an enemy, and that it’s completely possible to fight them without ever setting foot on the ground.
