Putin: “Yo, So Are Y’all Just Gonna Let ISIS Chop Up Those Prisoners?”

ok den…

There used to be a time when America would go to bat for her citizens. If you were in trouble somewhere in the world where there was water of any kind near you, a coast guard cruiser would be pulling up next to you moments after you sent out your distress signal.

You’d be drinking a nice cool Wolf Cola ™…

… in some desert shithole, when all of a sudden some Moslems try to abduct you and your Wolf Cola ™.

They forgot about the ice cubes. In that little pool of condensation and water around your glass, a US frigate is already floating, cannons trained on the brown people trying to hold you hostage.

That’s how America used to do business.

But for some reason, things have changed.

The 700 hostages captured in Syria by Islamic State terrorists include US and European citizens and are being killed off 10 people a day, Russia’a Vladimir Putin said, criticizing American forces for “catastrophic” failure.

Islamic State terrorists “have delivered ultimatums and made certain demands, threatening … to shoot ten people every day,” the Russian leader said, adding that the hostage-takers already started carrying out their threats and executed ten hostages two days ago.

Now, it is possible that these were ISIS enthusiasts who ran off to join the jihad and ended up being taken prisoner instead. That would be the best case scenario for everyone involved, really.

“This is just horrible, it is a catastrophe,” Putin said, adding that the US forces that claim to control the area around the east bank of the Euphrates River, relying on the Kurdish armed forces on the ground, stay conspicuously silent on this crisis.

“Some US and European citizens are among the hostages,” the president warned, adding that “everyone is silent … as if nothing has happened.”

Well, President Putin. We haven’t gotten the new patch download. How are we supposed to know what to think without reading the latest patch notes??

“They [the US] have clearly fallen short of their target,” Putin said, adding that Washington and its allies apparently failed to combat terrorists in the part of Syria they occupy. Islamic State terrorists continue to expand their presence in the area, he said.

Very problematic words, Mr. President. Very problematic words, indeed. Like something a Russian bot would say, I’m afraid.

Just gonna ignore it and move on with my day.
